Frequently asked questions

How accurate is the freight class result?
It applies the 13-tier NMFC density scale exactly. The final class can still differ if your commodity has its own NMFC item, needs special handling, or your carrier measures differently. Confirm unusual freight with your carrier.
Should I include the pallet in the weight and height?
Yes. Carriers measure and weigh the whole handling unit, including the pallet, wrap and any overhang.
Which DIM divisor do UPS, FedEx and USPS use?
139 for most domestic services. USPS switched from 166 to 139 on July 12, 2026 and only applies DIM pricing above 1 cubic foot. Some UPS retail and contract rates still use 166. Check your agreement.
What file format does the bulk tool accept?
A CSV with length, width, height (inches) and weight (lb per unit) columns, plus optional reference and units. Export from Excel or Google Sheets using “Save as CSV”. Download the template on the bulk page.
What does the free plan include?
All single calculators with no limits, and the first 10 rows of any bulk file shown on screen.
What does Pro include?
Bulk files up to 5,000 rows, CSV export of all results, and billable weight for every carrier on every row.
Do I need an account?
No password. After checkout your browser is unlocked automatically and you get an access key to use on other devices.
How do I cancel?
Go to Account, then Manage billing / cancel. You keep Pro until the end of the period you've paid for.
Do you store my shipment data?
No. Bulk files are processed in memory to produce your results and aren't saved.
